M.S. Instructional Science & Technology: Audio & Video Production
This is my final video for my IST-531 class. For this class, we were tasked with creating an instructional video within specific production criteria and applying relevant learning theories to said video.
How to create a faux calligraphy effect
For my video, I struggled to think of a topic since I have not yet developed a full idea for my capstone project. The learning approach I took for this video was the Constructivist learning theory. I also used similar pacing as my previous video with Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction, which helped guide how my video was scripted. One thing I did differently was include small tips after each step, which I feel made the information more digestible, instead of adding a bunch of tips at the end.
While editing this video, I found myself much more comfortable using my editing tool of choice. I am glad that I have gotten more familiar with the keyboard shortcuts, which has increased the speed of my workflow.
